Through my obsession with the films of Sam Peckinpah, I have come to the conclusion that the late Warren Oates
is one of the best movie actors of all time.
Warren Oates starred in a lot of Sam’s films and he just had an indefinable quality that I find mesmerizing.
You feel for him. You feel sorry for him. You like him.
He was and remains, utterly watchable. A true movie star.

I recommend it if you’re a fan of the golden era of American independent film, the 1970s.
